Emily Pritchard is an anchor for Today in AZ. She contributes across all 12News shows and platforms, including 12 @ 12. She joined Team 12 In March, 2022.
Emily joined 12News from WHDH, 7News in Boston, where she was an anchor and reporter. During her time at 7News, Emily anchored live coverage of the unrest following George Floyd’s death, as well as sustained coverage of the 2020 U.S. Presidential election results being finalized. Over the years, she’s also provided in-depth reporting on the hoax involving former Notre Dame football player, Manti Teo’s girlfriend dying, wildfires out west, blizzards along Lake Michigan, and Nor’easters in New England.
Emily’s career has taken her from coast to coast. Over the past 15 years, she’s anchored and reported at ABC10, 12News’ sister station in Sacramento, KMOV (the CBS affiliate in St. Louis), WBND (the ABC station in South Bend, Indiana), and KOMU (the NBC affiliate in Columbia, Missouri.) Like many members of Team 12, she is a proud graduate of the University of Missouri. Other career highlights include reporting live at Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis and at the NBA Finals in Oakland. She also spent four years covering the University of Notre Dame (reporting on the Fighting Irish football team and their appearance in the 2013 National Championship), as well as the women’s basketball team and their many trips to the Final Four.
FUN FACTS:
*Emily grew up in Waynesville, Missouri, where she discovered her love of exploring the outdoors in the Ozarks.
*Emily’s fiancé, Brian, is from Arizona and they are getting married here next year.
*She completed both the Chicago and Philadelphia marathons.
*She enjoys kayaking, hiking and traveling.
