Brenda Lepenski joined the 12News team in April 2024 and has a passion for storytelling.
She kicked off her journalism career in Irving, Texas, working as an associate producer at a Spanish-language station, creating/reporting content for audiences in Dallas, Houston, and Miami.
After that, she reported in Lubbock, Texas as a multimedia journalist and then moved to Little Rock, Arkansas, where she reported on renters' rights, education legislation, and the Freedom of Information Act.
Brenda is also active in the journalism community, having served as President of the Arkansas Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists and also held board positions with the Dallas Chapter of the National Association for Hispanic Journalists.
Originally from Mexico and raised in Northern Louisiana, she appreciates good enchiladas con chile gujillo and crawfish.
She's a proud graduate of the University of Texas-El Paso.
