PHOENIX, Arizona — 12 News has won the most Emmy awards this year of any station in the Phoenix market. That includes winning for overall excellence, news excellence and best evening newscast.
The awards were presented by the National Association of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) and the Southwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.The NATAS region is comprised of Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and Southeastern California.
12 News was awarded in the following categories:
- Overall Excellence
- News Excellence
- Best Evening Newscast - Kacie Talamante, Matt Wendt, Joe Dana, Rachel Cole, Michael Doudna, Bianca Buono, Jeff Sabato
- Best Meteorologist – Krystle Henderson
- Best Serious Feature News – Mark Curtis, Katie Wilcox, and Roberto Duarte
- Best General Assignment Report – Ryan Cody and Roberto Duarte
- Best Producer- Mark Faccio
- Best Producer- Kacie Talamante
- Best News Editor – William Pitts
- Best News Editor – Roberto Duarte
