PHOENIX — Heads up, drivers. I-17 will completely close in both directions several times this week so crews can safely perform controlled rock blasting near the border between Maricopa and Yavapai counties.
On Wednesday, I-17 will also be closed in both directions between Table Mesa Road and Black Canyon City/Rock Springs (mileposts 236-242) from 10 - 11 p.m.
Another closure Thursday night will be between Coldwater Road and Sunset Point (mileposts 244-252) and will start at 10 p.m. and will also last about an hour, ADOT said.
Drivers can call 511 or visit az511.com to get updates on the closures.
