PHOENIX — The 35th season of Friday Night Fever, Arizona's No. 1 and longest-running high school football show, is rapidly drawing to a close as playoff games have now been played in every high school football division and conference in the state.
On Friday, the Open Division playoffs began with the top eight teams in 5A and 6A squaring off for spots in the semifinals.
The quarterfinals also took place in the 4A, 5A, and 6A playoffs.
On Saturday, the semifinals will be played in 2A and 3A and three state champions will be crowned in 4A, 5A and 6A high school flag football.
1A has already seen their state champion crowned, as the Hayden Lobos raised the golden football in that conference for the second straight season.
