It's Territorial Cup week... let the hatred begin

Territorial Cup week is upon us, friendships and some families will be put to the test.

It's Territorial Cup week in Arizona.

Arizona State and Arizona are all set to do battle at Sun Devil stadium this weekend, with college football's oldest rivalry trophy up for grabs.

For the past year, the cup has resided in Tucson, but the Sun Devils are ready for it to come back to Tempe.

Last year's matchup decided the winner of the Pac-12 South, this season ASU needs to win just to make bowl eligibility.

Okay, so the matchup doesn't sound quit as tantalizing as last year's game, but remember, there is plenty of bad blood to go around in this rivalry.

These two schools hate each other. This week tests even the strongest of friendships.

The Territorial Cup is no joke.

So while the Wildcats and Sun Devils' seasons haven't exactly gone as they'd hoped, whoever wins this game will consider their season a win.

One team and one fan base will be euphoric Saturday night… while the other will be licking their wounds.
