Records: Peoria mom grabbed child's hair, ran over girl's leg with pickup truck after 'bullying' incident

A woman was arrested after she was seen confronting a group of kids and driving her car through a Peoria park, court records show.

PEORIA, Ariz. — A woman has been arrested after she allegedly sped her vehicle "recklessly" toward a group of juveniles congregating at a playground in Peoria, court records show.

Brandie Gotch, 30, is facing criminal charges after her vehicle allegedly ran over a girl's leg Tuesday afternoon at a neighborhood park near 87th Avenue and Butler Drive.

Court records show witnesses observed the woman walking up to a group of kids and yelling at them. The suspect was allegedly seen grabbing one of the kids by their hair and chasing after them with a stick before going back to her vehicle.

The suspect then allegedly drove toward the group of kids, striking one of them, and left the park.

In an interview with police, Gotch allegedly admitted to confronting the group of kids and driving her vehicle through the park. She claimed her children have had issues of bullying with the group of kids and nothing had been done about it, records show.

Gotch was booked into the Maricopa County jail and could be facing charges of aggravated assault against a minor and endangerment.
