Police: Child wounded in Phoenix shooting

Phoenix police say a juvenile was taken to the hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound Thursday night.

PHOENIX — A child was taken to the hospital Thursday night after they were shot, the Phoenix Police Department said.

Officers were dispatched shortly before midnight on Thanksgiving Day to reports of a shooting at an apartment complex near Interstate 17 and Glendale Avenue. There, they found the juvenile with a gunshot wound.

No suspects have been identified at this time. The victim's injuries are considered serious but not life-threatening, police said.
