PHOENIX - Brittany Zamora, the teacher accused of having sexual relations with her sixth-grade student, was back in court for her arraignment hearing Friday morning.
The former Arizona "Teacher of the Year" faces 10 counts of sexual conduct with a minor. Zamora pleaded not guilty.
The sixth-grade teacher allegedly sent nude photos to one of her 13-year-old students as well as text messages claiming the two engaged in sex.
The mother and step father of the boy have spoken publicly about the case to the media calling Zamora a “monster” and saying “she took advantage” of their son.
