Two 12-year-old boys were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, after being hit at a crosswalk at 75th Avenue and Thomas.

Originally, reports stated the boys had been critically injured, but officials corrected that information a short time later.

The lights were on are on at the intersection, investigators say, so power outages related to Monday's storms are not suspected as the cause of the crash. Investigators believe the vehicle which hit the boys ran a red light.

The boys were crossing eastbound to westbound, when they were hit by a northbound vehicle, which also struck three more vehicles.

Aerial video showed the wrecked vehicles and first responders on scene.

Phoenix police are leading the investigation.
