Being in a leadership position is nothing new to Prescott resident Dan Fraijo, who is touting his past leadership experiences and vision for a better Prescott as some of the reasons why he should be next in line for the mayoral seat.
Ballots have started to reach mailboxes and voters are deciding between Fraijo and opponent Harry Oberg, a Prescott native and Vietnam veteran, whose experience includes managing a $1.5 billion dollar budget at the Pentagon.
Two years ago, Fraijo began to seriously consider a run for mayor after his wife urged that he still had more to contribute to the community. This coming after he said he was fired from his position as chief of the Prescott Fire Department. The city said the resignation, that happened just months after the Yarnell Hill tragedy, was a mutual decision.
In his interview with 12 News, Fraijo explains it was his entire experience as fire chief that played a big role in shaping his vision for Prescott as well as pushing him to put his name in the race.
