GILA BEND, Ariz. — Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a deadly shooting at a home in Gila Bend Monday afternoon.
According to MCSO, an incident occurred at a home around 1 p.m. on July 3 near Paloma Road and I-8, just west of Gila Bend. Officials said a shooting took place at the home where two people were killed.
Authorities identified the victims as 44-year-old Melissa Gutierrez and 22-year-old Orlando Osegueda.
MCSO said 21-year-old David Diaz was arrested and booked into jail. He is facing several charges related to the incident.

MCSO deputies previously reported that they received a call around 1 p.m. Monday about a man who walked into the Gila Bend Fire Department with a gunshot wound.
Around that same time, sheriff’s deputies received a call about a shooting at a home near Interstate 8 and Paloma Road. On Tuesday, deputies said two people were found dead inside the home.
Deputies were also investigating a third scene near the shooting on I-8. MCSO said one person was taken to the hospital after deputies deployed a Taser.
Officers could be seen guarding a black SUV on the side of the interstate. 12News cameras also caught deputies talking to someone in the back of a truck.
