The Pinal County Sheriff's Office is working to extradite a former Arizona teacher from North Carolina, wanted for an inappropriate relationship with a minor while he was living in Phoenix.
U.S. Marshals arrested 38-year-old Andrew Dale Hensley Monday at his home in Cary, North Carolina.
PCSO has been investigating Hensley, a former fire science instructor at a tech school in Coolidge, since June after a 16-year-old girl reported Hensley had sex with her four different times.
Two of those occasions happened at a park in San Tan Valley, another at a hotel in Florence and the fourth at Hensley's Phoenix apartment, PCSO says.
Hensley agreed to talk to investigators during the course of the investigation, but canceled his appointment and skipped town. Detectives learned he resigned from his teaching position and moved out of his apartment and headed to North Carolina.
PCSO said sex toys were later found in his office by school officials.
Hensley faces six counts of sexual misconduct with a minor, PCSO says.
