Chris and Alexa Knierim first US pair to land quad twist at Olympics

Lots to be proud of for the husband-wife team!

The U.S. husband and wife team of Arizona-born Chris Knierim and Alexa Scimeca Knierim may not have been on the podium - but they do have lots to be proud of after their skating performance at the 2018 Winter Olympics.

According to U.S. Figure Skating, the pair became the fist U.S. pair to do a quad twist at the Olympics.

The two landed the four-revolution element during their free skate program. And it was spectacular!

It wasn't enough to overcome hiccups in their two programs. But despite that, the two have lots to be proud of in PyeongChang.

The only American pair at the Olympics helped team USA win a bronze medal in the team event and overcame some major obstacles to even get there in the first place. Also, that QUAD TWIST!

Not mention, their adorableness continues to melt hearts. They even shared a sweet Valentine's Day moment after their short program skate.
