Fitzgerald had been evaluating his options after Bruce Arians announced his retirement and Steve Wilks was hired to take over as head coach.
In an interview on NFL Network earlier this month, Fitzgerald suggested he likes what he sees of the changes with the team so far.
“I’m excited about what the future holds,” he said. “Obviously, there are still things that need to happen in terms of personnel — the draft and things like that — to help our team improve.”
This will be Fitzgerald’s 15th season. He needs 390 yards and 92 catches to move into number two all-time, right behind Jerry Rice.
