Deandre Ayton, apparently made a sizable purchase after signing his rookie deal.
But this purchase wasn't for himself. The Phoenix Suns' rookie center did something heartwarming for his mom.
"I got my mom a house. Her reaction was priceless," Ayton told ESPN's Chris Forsberg. "Obviously, you can't repay her for what she's done for you, but I'm trying. Trying to keep her as comfortable as possible, stress-free."
The Suns' first overall pick said his mom is now living close to Suns' owner Robert Sarver and in the same area as the team's star guard Devin Booker.
Ayton could earn about $8 million in his first year and, according to Forbes, more than $41 million over his entire rookie contract with the team.
