SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Have you seen the video on Facebook of a 28-year-old professional golfer doing incredible trick shots?
Her name is Tania Tare and she’s a professional golfer from New Zealand.
You have to check it out:
She was in town for the Waste Management Phoenix Open and caught up with 12 News at Starfire Golf Course in Scottsdale!
“Trick shots only happened recently like a year ago,” she said. “Almost the exact same time as now but a year ago.”
When asked how many takes she does per trick, she said it depends.
“They are honestly trick by trick," she said. "So one trick might take me - one trick I might get first try. The other stuff like hitting out of the air or juggling, I can actually do pretty consistently and successfully.”
Tare started golfing at age 14. Her goal is to pursue professional golf, but keep the trick shots on the side.
“100 percent, all of my goals, are focused on trying to get my LPGA tour cut," she said. "I don't actually have any trick shot goals, I'm just going to keep doing them because I love them and people like them.”
