PEORIA, Ariz. - Police have confirmed there was a shooting near a Peoria Walmart at 79th Avenue and W. Peoria Avenue.
Police say it was an officer involved shooting but there are no officers injured and the suspect was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Peoria PD said the man was suspected of shoplifting at Walmart. He was confronted by police outside and he fired shots and officers fired back.
