GILBERT, Ariz. — Police are investigating a drowning in a Gilbert community Sunday morning.
According to a spokesperson from the Gilbert Police Department, a resident of the neighborhood found a man who had drowned in a lake near Lindsay and Queen Creek roads around 1 p.m. Sunday.
The fire department has recovered the man's body. The man's name and age have not yet been released.
It is unclear at this time how the man drowned.
As of 5 p.m. Sunday, detectives had not been able to identify the man, but said no signs of trauma were observed. An autopsy to determine the cause of death is schedule for the middle of the week.
