Peoria Walmart cleared after police investigate bomb threat

A suspect called the store and said there was a bomb in one of it's trash cans.

PEORIA, Ariz. — PEORIA, Ariz. - The Walmart at Lake Pleasant Parkway and Deer Valley Road in Peoria was deemed safe after it was evacuated following a bomb threat, Peoria Police said.

Police said a suspect called in a bomb threat to the Walmart, saying there was a bomb in one of the store's trash cans.

With the help of the Glendale PD bomb squad, police said nothing suspicious was located and the store is set to open back up.
