SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - A former Arizona State University football player and Scottsdale gym owner was arrested and accused of sexually assaulting a woman inside her Scottsdale apartment, according to police.

Police said Tevin Favor, 26, was arrested early Sunday morning after allegedly assaulting a girl he took out to Old Town Scottsdale the night before.

According to the police report, Favor first met the woman over a week ago and gave her his business card. When she did not contact him, he messaged her on Instagram. The two talked and agreed to go out with friends Saturday.

The police report said Favor picked up the woman and her friend and the group went to a couple of bars in Old Town Scottsdale.

According to police, the woman took an Uber with her friend back to her apartment. Favor called later in the night to tell the woman he was on his way to see her. Once at the woman's apartment, Favor allegedly suggested they go to her bedroom, so "they didn't wake her friend on the couch."

In the bedroom, according to the report, is where Favor allegedly held the victim down and sexually assaulted her. When she told him to stop, Favor allegedly told her to shut up and if she didn't keep quiet he'd "go get" her friend.

Favor, according to the police report, refused to leave afterwards. The woman called police.

Favor denied the assault and told police they just touched and kissed each other, the police report said. He was arrested for sexual assault and was later given a $250,000 bond during his initial court appearance.

Favor was a wide receiver at ASU during the 2012 season. He is the founder and CEO of BL8TN gym in Scottsdale, according to the gym's website.
