Experimental plane makes emergency landing in the West Valley

The pilot was not injured, and the aircraft sustained no damage from the landing.

TONOPAH, Ariz. - The pilot of an experimental aircraft had to make a controlled emergency landing on a private road near 331st Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road Friday night.

Buckeye Valley Fire District said the plane had an engine failure.

The pilot was not injured, and the aircraft sustained no damage from the landing.

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office has taken over the investigation.
