MESA, Ariz. — A woman is dead after her car crashed into a home in Mesa Wednesday night, a spokesman from the city police department said. No one in the home was hurt.
Investigators said they believe the woman may have had a medical episode just before the crash.
The crash happened around 10 p.m. on Wednesday when the woman drove through a turn in a neighborhood near 80th Street and University Drive and struck a nearby home.
The owner of the house reportedly found the driver injured. She said that she had a medical condition before collapsing. First responders pronounced the woman dead on the scene.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash. Investigators are still working to learn what caused the crash but haven't ruled out a medical episode.
The woman's identity hasn't been released.
