TUCSON, Ariz. – New documents show murder suspect Christopher Clements led detectives to the body of a Tucson 6-year-old in March 2017.
Clements was arrested in connection to her murder and the murder of another girl on Sept 14, 2018.
Isabel Celis went missing from her bedroom in 2012, when she was just 6 years old. Her body was found on March 3, 2017, and now documents obtained by KVOA News 4 Tucson show Clements led Pima County Sheriff's Department detectives to the site.
In 2014, 13-year-old Maribel Gonzales, who lived nearby, never returned home. Her body was found in the same area in June 2014.
On Sept. 14, a Pima County grand jury charged 36-year-old Christopher Clements with both murders.
Clements references "all four" in a letter to his girlfriend, and detectives believe this refers to four bodies in the desert, according to documents.
Detectives noted they didn't know who the other two bodies would be in the document.
In other searches, detectives also found sexual images of young children and internet searches for terms like “Isabel Celis” and “body found in desert,” according to documents.
Clements was scheduled to be arraigned in court on Sept. 24.
