PARKER, Ariz. - A student has been arrested for having a shotgun in his truck on school property Friday, according to police.
The Parker Police Department's school resource officer investigated a report of a student making threats to buy an AR-15 rifle.
During the course of the investigation, the student admitted to having a shotgun in his truck.
The shotgun was not loaded and was inside a locked vehicle, police said.
Because the vehicle was on school property, the student was arrested and booked into La Paz County Jail for misconduct involving weapons and possessing a deadly weapon on school grounds, according to police.
