YAVAPAI COUNTY, Ariz. - Arizona Department of Public Safety detectives busted a marijuana growing operation in Northern Arizona, seizing nearly 800 pounds of raw marijuana, DPS said.
DPS detectives arrested seven people connected to two illegal marijuana growing operations after the Mohave Criminal Targeting United served residential search warrants on two Yavapai County properties.
According to DPS, the following evidence was seized:
-791 pounds of raw marijuana
-67 marijuana plants
-180 grams of THC wax
-1 gram of hallucinogenic mushrooms
-16 pills, unknown what type
-Four firearms
-More than $4,300 in U.S. currency
Keith Arnold Hogavem, 39, of Fort Mohave; Wiley David King, 71, Quartzsite; Tessa Rose Stover Blovin, 26, of Quartzsite; David John Venus, 58, of Fort Mohave; Vanessa Rose Bennett 39, of Seligman; and Mitchell Ray Kirkley, 48, of Seligman, were arrested.
Charges against them include possession of marijuana for sale, possession of narcotics, production of narcotic drugs, possession of dangerous drugs and fraudulent schemes.
