Police asking for information on 2 unsolved Phoenix armed robberies

Police say two suspects robbed a Shamrock Gas Station near 16th and Roosevelt streets, while another man robbed a Circle K store near 43rd Avenue and Van Buren Street.

Police are asking the public for help in gathering information on two unsolved armed robberies at two different convenience stores.

Shamrock gas station robbery on Aug. 3

In the security camera footage, you can see two suspects walk into the Shamrock gas station near 16th and Roosevelt streets and rob the clerk at gunpoint.

It happened on Friday, Aug. 3 just after 6:30 p.m.

A third person is not being considered a suspect, but rather an investigative lead, because he was seen talking with the suspects before the robbery.

Police said he's not a suspect, but he was seen talking to the suspects.

Detectives only consider someone a suspect if they have a very strong reason to believe they took part in the crime.

Silent Witness is including that man in this case, in hopes he will be able to provide additional information about the crime or the suspects.

Suspect #1 is a man between 18-20 years old, his high is between 5'7" and 5'9", weights about 140 pounds and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the words "Savage" on it and black shorts.

The second suspect seem to be between 16 and 20 years old, his hight is between 5'7" and 5"9, weights between 120 and 140 pounds. He was wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt and jeans. This suspect was armed with a handgun.

Circle K robbery on July 31

In the second case, the video isn’t crystal clear, but if you know the suspect, you may be able to recognize him. He’s wearing a distinctive shirt with the Bible verse John 3:16 across the front of it.

This robbery happened at the Circle K store near 43rd Avenue and Van Buren Street on July 31 just before 1:30 am.

In this incident, the suspect enters the store and asks for lottery tickets and tobacco products, then demands all the money from the register. While doing so, he’s threatening to shoot the clerk. The clerk opens the register and the suspect takes the money. He then takes off and gets into a white passenger car waiting outside.

The suspect is a man between 30-40 years old and 5'5" tall.
