Glendale PD arrests man accused of killing woman

Police have arrested a man suspected of stabbing and killing a woman Monday in Glendale.

The Glendale Police Department announced Friday that officers had tracked down William Bradfield, 39, and arrested him as a suspect in the stabbing death of Rose Watford, 44.

Officers went Monday to a hospital after being told a woman had been assaulted. That's where they found Watford, who died shortly after they arrived.

Police identified Bradfield as a suspect and began searching for him after learning she was seen with Watford was seen with him Sunday.

Bradfield turned himself in at a Phoenix police station on Friday just after 1 a.m. He reported to police that he was wanted for murder, explaining that he saw his face on the news.

He was transported to the Glendale police station, where he was interviewed.

Bradfield was booked on one count of second-degree murder, two counts of kidnapping and one count of felony threats.
